I did this for Inside Counsel magazine with art director Liz Novak. It's for an article about the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005. It was a relatively small illustration and done fairly quickly, so I was squinting a lot while painting it.

I did this painting a bit larger than I usually do (16 x 11") and went for a more painterly approach than usual. I'm using it for a promo item so hopefully it reproduces well. The environment is based on the Queen and Spadina intersection in Toronto, if the buildings were all blue and green.

Kraftwerk

I did this portrait of Kraftwerk for the December/January issue of Exclaim! magazine, which is a free Canadian music magazine. It was a really fun assignment, though I should have turned up the brightness and contrast for the print version. Live and learn. Thanks to editor James Keast for the assignment.

And here is a panel from my imaginary project of the most elaborate wushu instructional book ever made. I realize this would be completely impractical and pointless by the way.

This may seem ridiculously overdue, but here's the final painted version of the drawing I posted before, although it's been mostly done for a while now. In my defense I've been pretty busy since I last posted, doing fun things like going to Japan.

This painting was done on the idea of centralized information technology and its potential to be compromised. I'll have another painting up shortly. I swear.

This is the preliminary linework for one of my last thesis illustrations. The painting is mostly finished at this point, but I have to make a few adjustments before I'd consider it done. Maybe I overdid the wires a bit.
